In order to configure Jaguar Server, we need to start Jaguar Manager by selecting Start > Sybase > Jaguar CTS 3.0 > Jaguar Manager menu option from the Windows NT Start menu bar. Starting the Jaguar Manager will open 2 icons on your task bar, Jaguar Manager and Sybase Central. The DOS window is the Jaguar Manager console on which Jaguar Manager writes all messages. Sybase Central is the application that you use in order to configure your Jaguar Server.
If Sybase Central doesnt display in your workspace, restore it by clicking on the Sybase Central icon on the task bar. Sybase Central has 2 plug-ins, Jaguar Manager and Security Manager. In this session, we will only be using Jaguar Manager.
Once it comes up, select Tools > Connect > Jaguar Manager and provide the following details and click OK button. Throughout this session, we use the default administrator login name, password. We assume the server name is installed on the local machine with port 9000. If they are different, then use them accordingly.
User Name: jagadmin
Password: jagadmin
Host Name: localhost
Port: 9000
