As explained earlier, you can specify the label while Check-In the object. You can also do this through the ObjectCycle manager. If you want to label a group of objects, you can also do that.
When you reach a milestone, say, you are ready to release version 3.0 of your software to the users. There may be hundreds of object in your project and each object have its own revision number. One object might have modified 10 times and another may be just two times. At this point of time, you can label all the object, say "R3_0". Once you label the object, from the project painter you can create the executable for a specific label. Even after a lot changes after this, and want to create executable version "R3_0" in the future, you can do so.
