In addition to the interoperability offered by the object bus, CORBA defines a set of system-level services that complement and augment the functionality of the ORB. These are called CORBAservices, and there are currently standard IDL interfaces defined for over fifteen CORBAservices.
The CORBA services for naming and transactions are mostly used services. We will not go into details since they are beyond the scope of this session.
